For those who missed our Town Hall, we’re making it available for you here because we don’t want you to miss out on the exciting news!

We’re launching a phased return to concerts this fall with Pasadena Presents, a series of four performances running from October 17 – November 14, 2020. The symphonic repertoire of the 20/21 Classics Series will be rescheduled to the 21/22 season, but in its place, we will deliver a new 20/21 season under the umbrella of Pasadena Presents in response to guidelines set forth by local and state authorities. 2021 concert dates and programming for the winter and spring  will be announced later this fall.

Pasadena Presents is a new concert model that adapts responsibly to Covid-related safety considerations with an exciting series of chamber music performances with a twist. Curated and hosted by Music Director David Lockington, each concert will feature a renowned soloist performing a concerto in recital, followed by an ensemble of Pasadena Symphony musicians performing chamber music works in a socially-distanced setting. You can view full details for the Fall Season below.

We have two scenarios in place for the fall-  the first brings Pasadena Presents live in-person, outdoors and socially-distanced at the Pasadena Pavilion for the Performing Arts (formerly known as the Levitt Pavilion). Multiple performances will allow us to seat all audience members wishing to attend in a newly designed seating chart of up to 350, spaced six feet apart. In the event that outdoor concerts remain prohibited through the fall, each performances will be recorded at Ambassador Auditorium and presented exclusively online.

In either scenario, all performances will be recorded and made available to patrons online.

We don’t want to over promise and under deliver, and yet we also want to make the right decisions at the right time. We are working in partnership with the City of Pasadena and local authorities and will continue to monitor public health guidelines as they evolve over the next two months so we can act accordingly to bring our audience and musicians back together safely.

The show must go on, and if need be the show will go online!
