Student Access Program

Through our Student Access program, thousands of young people and their families in Pasadena and surrounding San Gabriel Valley communities are provided with access to Pasadena Symphony and POPS concerts at no-cost. We not only host students from the PYSO and the Pasadena Unified School District but also their parents, caregivers and family members as well as several community organizations that serve at risk youth.  This family-friendly program not only offers first time exposure to live symphonic music, it makes participation available to families of all walks of life, creating a level playing field that honors every person’s civic right to have access to the enriching benefits of a live symphony orchestra. We are expanding our reach daily.

Music Education

It is our core belief that  Musical Enrichment through Community Engagement is a vital part of an individual’s education, and development through all of life’s stages.
As a professional orchestra and civic institution, the Pasadena Symphony and POPS seeks to support and foster a love and knowledge of orchestral music. We believe that participatory music instruction, lectures and intimate performances are an invaluable experience for an individual, providing a wide range of intrinsic benefits. The PSA offers the support of a full-time staff, a wide database of professional musicians, conductors and soloists; and a wealth of information and administrative support to deliver enriching community engagement activities throughout the year.
