Student Access Program

Through our Student Access program, we provide over $161,000 in complimentary concert tickets each season to students and families throughout Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley.

This program brings thousands of young people, along with their parents, caregivers, and family members, into Pasadena Symphony performances at Ambassador Auditorium and Pasadena POPS concerts at the Los Angeles County Arboretum at no cost. In partnership with Pasadena Unified School District and local community organizations serving at-risk youth, we help ensure that access to live symphonic music reaches across our community.

For many, these concerts are a first opportunity to experience the power of live orchestral music in a shared setting, right here in Pasadena. These experiences create lasting connections, spark curiosity, and bring people together through music.

With your support, we are able to welcome more students and families each season and continue building a stronger, more connected community through music.

If you are a teacher or youth program leader and would like to bring your students to a Pasadena Symphony concert, please sign up below to join our Student Access mailing list. You will receive information about upcoming concerts approximately two weeks in advance.

Music Education

As we approach our 100th year, we remain deeply committed to a simple belief: musical enrichment through community engagement is an essential part of a well-rounded education and a meaningful life at every stage.

As a professional orchestra and civic institution, the Pasadena Symphony and POPS is dedicated to fostering a lasting love and appreciation for orchestral music. Through participatory music experiences, educational opportunities, and intimate performances, we aim to create moments that inspire, connect, and enrich individuals in lasting ways.

With the support of a full-time staff and a network of professional musicians, conductors, and soloists, we are able to offer a wide range of community engagement programs throughout the year. Together, these efforts help bring music into the heart of our community and create opportunities for people of all ages to experience the power of live performance.
