Viola

John Qiang Wang has been a violist with the Pasadena Symphony and POPS orchestra since 1991. He has studied viola at Roosevelt University, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and the University of Southern California. He served as an adjunct professor of viola at the University of Redlands, CA from 1996 to 1999. In addition to playing with the Pasadena Symphony, he has served as the principal violist with the San Bernadino Symphony since 1992 and the Asia America Symphony since 1993. He has also performed with Chicago Symphony and Hollywood Bowl Orchestras as a sub and recorded on the soundtracks of motion pictures in all major studios in Los Angeles, including Paramount, Warner Brothers, Sony and Capitol Record.
