Carrie Holzman-Little has been a busy free-lance violist here in Southern California for the past 35 years. Carrie has been the assistant principal violist of the Pasadena Symphony for 30 years and has been a member of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra since it’s inception. Carrie is currently the personnel manager for the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra (2009 – present) as well as Orchestra Santa Monica (2008 – present). She hires musicians for The Music Paradigm, a group based in New York City, as well as overseeing the hiring of orchestras for the All Saints Church of Pasadena, Pasadena Presbyterian Church to name a few. Carrie has a private viola teaching studio, is a viola coach for the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the Crown City String Quartet which is based in Bend, Oregon. Carrie is a long-time member of the Oregon Bach Festival in Eugene, Oregon. In her spare time, she races long distance Ironman triathlons. Carrie lives in a 100-year-old house in Pasadena with her cellist husband, Dane Little and 2 sweet cats.
